Do you recognize this photo? If not, you obviously aren’t following me on Facebook, Pinterest or Google +, so you better go do that ASAP! 🙂
This was taken on my last trip to Las Vegas. I enjoyed Serendipity so much, that I made my husband go back with me on this recent trip.
We had a seat outside overlooking the fountain in front of Caesar’s Palace. If you go, I would suggest sitting outside, on the side that faces the Strip. Our area was accessible to the public and there were some interesting people walking past our table very slowly and staring at us. Our waitress said they were known for snatching your bag or even your food and running. So sit on the Strip side shown in the picture below.
We knew we were going to have dessert because that was the main reason for coming. So we skipped the appetizers and just got entrees. You can click on the menu to see it bigger.
My husband went with a grilled chicken salad, which is his “go to” meal when he doesn’t see anything else that is interesting.
This particular one was the Tex-Mex chicken salad with corn, black beans and tortilla chips. It wasn’t so great. Do you ever have those salads that sound good on the menu and they just taste so blah? I felt bad for him, because mine was the bomb!
I ordered the Crab Cake burger with bacon, tomato, spinach and remoulade sauce. Oh my goodness, it was delightful! I had to get a close up for you.
Look at all that lump crab meat! I was really impressed with this sandwich. The sweet potato fries on the side were delicious as well. I was a very happy girl. Now you know why I felt bad for my husband. I always say, if your entree stinks then end with a great dessert…and that is what we did!
We finished with the Double Frozen Hot Chocolate for two covered in whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Oh my gosh! It was fantastic! Just a lot of cold chocolate goodness, is the best way to describe it. I will be going back to Las Vegas this year and I will be sure to have another frozen hot chocolate! What is your favorite chocolate treat?

Sorry about the salad. You always seem to pick the perfect dish, don't you?
Unfortunately I don't like chocolate so pass me the crab cake, please!

It's funny you say that because my husband usually has to share his because I like it better. I guess I just don't write about that as much. 🙂

I didn't know there was a Serendipity in Las Vegas. Is it the same as the famous NYC restaurant? It's on my bucket list ever since I heard of the Frozen Hot Chocolate. I've done copycat recipes, but I bet the real thing is much better. That crab burger looks fantastic, too. I want a bit.

It is the same! And it is yummy!

Yum!! I'm going to Vegas next week (third time in 4 months) and all these delicious pictures are probably my final push to go to Serendipity. We've passed by often enough and I've always wanted to get a dessert. I didn't know they had food too. Love crab cakes and great to know they're generous. Thanks for the inspiration!
