Judith Mountain Lodge | Lewistown Montana

Nestled in the Judith Mountains, right outside of Lewsitown, Montana, the Judith Mountain Lodge is the perfect log cabin style retreat.  The lodge has 10 different themed rooms, as well as, a bar and restaurant for you to enjoy. Its secluded location really gives that escape to the mountains feel, but is only six miles from town.

I was traveling with Central Montana Tourism and three other travel bloggers. We had just enjoyed a wonderful adventure on The Charlie Russel Chew Choo Train before we arrived at Judith Mountain Lodge.  So I decided to relax before bed with a little cocktail from the restaurant bar.

The bartender was so great helping me pick a drink. In the end, she ended up making me a special mule that was her own recipe and it was delish.  There were several people enjoying dinner in the restaurant so I took my drink outside to a large patio seating area.

Then it was off to my room to get some rest for the next awesome adventure in Central Montana.

The Rooms

Winter Room

The winter room is decorated with all the cozy things of winter and a vaulted ceiling to add height.

There are so many little details that give that cozy log cabin feel. This room comes with the sink on the outside of the bathroom, which can be nice if you are sharing the room. This bathroom has a walk in shower. All the rooms have television and wifi.

Cowboy Room

The largest room I saw was the cowboy room. It has a loft with another sleeping area. It can also be combined with the hunting room via a connecting door in the bathroom. If you get them both it’s called the hunting suite.

The sink is located in the room again, but this bathroom has a bathtub/shower combo. That would be helpful if traveling with children.

This room has the largest closet area if you need the space.  I also like how each room has its own seating area for coffee in the morning. I climbed up to the loft to discover a futon. The kids would love this!

Spring Creek Room

This is a fishing theme room named after local Spring Creek that has awesome trout fishing.

This bathroom also comes with the sink outside the bathroom and a walk in shower only.

Yogo Room

This mining theme room is named after the local Yogo Saffire gemstone. The keys are old school, each with a little wooden keyring painted with the theme of your room.

This room has a king bed and a full size bed. This was my actual room and I was traveling alone. So I had lots of space. I picked the king bed and was very comfortable throughout the night.

My room was the only one with the sink in the bathroom. The bathroom comes with all the amenities you would need.

While every room has a coffee maker and everything you would need for a cup of coffee, I would also suggest heading down to the included breakfast in the morning. They had a couple different kinds of coffee and lots of food to enjoy as well.

The Breakfast

There were cinnamon rolls, bread, make your own waffles, oatmeal with toppings, hard boiled eggs and yogurt to name a few of the things offered for breakfast.

I took my plate outside to the tables and enjoyed the gorgeous view of the mountain.

If you are looking for a comfortable bed in a unique atmosphere, I definitely recommend Judith Mountain Lodge in Lewistown, Montana. Themed log cabin style rooms surrounded by the Judith Mountains is the perfect getaway right outside of town. If you can’t get a room, at least head out for a delicious meal and cocktail.
